Lady Liberty"I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!" Patrick Henry

Lady Liberty...

...is not an organization, nor a corporation. I'm just an American woman who is proud of and grateful for our heritage of freedom, and who fears the present generation intends to bequeath little of that heritage to the future. Those fears prompted my political activism, and ongoing and anti-freedom developments since then have only increased my determination to do whatever I can to inform and incite activism in others toward change. It's painfully obviously to me that the election of an avowed Socialist as President in the 2008 elections has only increased the speed of this country's downfall, and these circumstances have very much exacerbated my sense of urgency in the fight for freedom.

Politically, Lady Liberty doesn't wear labels comfortably.

If the reader must have some category in which to place me, I suppose I fit most nearly into the libertarian mold, though I disagree with the official Libertarian platform on several salient points. When pressed, I've been known to refer to myself as a "Constitutional libertarian" or a "Jeffersonian liberal." It's far simpler to say that I believe we each ought to be able do pretty much as we please as long as we don't infringe the rights of others or burden others while doing so.

PLEASE NOTE: That does not mean I'm an anarchist. I believe in a minimal government, much like the one originally defined, intended, and supposedly limited in the Constitution. Unfortunately, that's a state I'm forced to acknowledge is a far stretch from the government we have today, and it's the restoration of the Republic we're rapidly losing that I seek.

As an activist...

...I have a relatively long history of involvement with a small group of like-minded friends and acquaintances both on a personal and private basis as well as in the Lady Liberty persona. I originally decided to create the Lady Liberty's Constitution Clearing House Website when, after playing a small role in several successful lobbying efforts, I realized that one person can make a difference when that person's involvement gets other individuals to participate as well. My only goal is to call to others to get involved and to encourage them to stay involved in the effort to restore as much of our lost freedoms as possible. My only hope is that we be free.

Professionally...

I'm a graphic designer, writer, and editor.

Personally...

I'm a strong and vocal privacy advocate. I will confess, however, that I currently live along the Great Lakes shoreline of a midwestern state where I share a home with too many cats and an ungodly number of books. Wherever I reside and whatever my plans for future relocation (you all are aware of the Free State Wyoming effort, aren't you?), you can rest assured my crusade for liberty will go on as long as I do.
